Spectators: 7307 (Terracing: 5748, Seating: 1524, VIP seats: 35) Olimpiu Bîndean started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eliodor Covaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Cismaș in the 4th minute of the match. When Virgil Cismaș came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cenade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgil Cismaș couldn't finish the play. Leonard Huțupan was a little too slow when Olimpiu Bîndean got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, WHFC's Maxim Corbu got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Virgil Cismaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Covaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxim Corbu during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maxim Corbu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes, Cenade's Constantin Maiorescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliodor Covaci came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cenade reached it. Leonard Huțupan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Bîndean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Răuțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpiu Bîndean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonard Huțupan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Gelu Sorin took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonard Huțupan. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Răuțu to make the kick off.
