When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Marian Alungulesei put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eliodor Mardarescu. Marian Alungulesei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eliodor Mardarescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliodor Mardarescu stood somewhat misplaced when Marian Alungulesei came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Alungulesei got free with Eliodor Mardarescu in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Alungulesei to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Borussia Brasov getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Eliodor Mardarescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute Marian Alungulesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Mardarescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristinel Ştefulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliodor Mardarescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristinel Ştefulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mădălin Zberea during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Arsenal Tunari's Mădălin Zberea got a free kick in the 78th minute. Adam Cotuțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Cornel Demian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Borussia Brasov had played much better football throughout.
