Ivan Hrandabur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Găman in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Tomoiu in the 9th minute of play forced Borussia Brasov's goalkeeper Ivan Hrandabur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Piţurcă came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei. But to his dismay, Marian Alungulesei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Alungulesei got free with Daniel Piţurcă in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Borussia Brasov's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cornel Demian in the 18th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cornel Demian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Piţurcă quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With his leg Daniel Piţurcă managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Seminar CS's zone, Marian Alungulesei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Piţurcă came out of the goal and Marian Alungulesei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Hrandabur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Morozan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Alungulesei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seminar CS's goalie prevented a goal. The Borussia Brasov fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Marian Alungulesei who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Piţurcă when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Alungulesei to strike the kick off in the second half. Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Alungulesei in the 55th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Piţurcă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 64 minutes into the game, Remus Mălin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seminar CS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Brasov the free kick. In the 64th minute, Remus Mălin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marian Alungulesei scored 9-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Piţurcă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74thth minute of the game Marian Alungulesei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei in 83 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Daniel Piţurcă guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 84th minute, Cristinel Ştefulescu made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Piţurcă. Seminar CS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Daniel Piţurcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Alungulesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. A collision led to Seminar CS getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Remus Mălin hit a great ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Marian Alungulesei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Alungulesei in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Piţurcă saved Seminar CS from getting behind. Daniel Piţurcă came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Brasov's Cristinel Ştefulescu. But to his dismay, Cristinel Ştefulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Borussia Brasov's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
