Laurențiu Soneriu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Cheches's goal looked a bit too open when Șerban Oblemenco came free, but Laurențiu Soneriu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Băncilă's late challenge caught a Cheches's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Băncilă helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CSM Catunele's Victor Băncilă got a free kick in the 12th minute. The supporters of CSM Catunele booed when Cheches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Covrig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Șerban Oblemenco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laurențiu Soneriu came out and tried to block the shot, but Șerban Oblemenco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Leontin Covrig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheches fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Andrei Arbore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Armanca in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Anton Arnăutu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Arbore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Costică Armanca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrei Arbore was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Laurențiu Soneriu made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Nicu Furdui sent off a good shot on target. Andrei Arbore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Creangă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stelian Săvulescu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. CSM Catunele's Andrei Arbore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Arnăutu in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Costică Armanca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Andrei Arbore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Șerban Oblemenco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paul Rotariu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Victor Băncilă fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 56th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Andrei Arbore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Arnăutu in the 60th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Leontin Covrig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheches's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSM Catunele the free kick. A collision led to Cheches getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Leontin Covrig hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cheches's Avram Taşcu got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Mădălin Apetroaiei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Arnăutu in the 72nd minute of play forced CSM Catunele's goalkeeper Andrei Arbore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrei Arbore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Arnăutu in the 73rd minute of play. Laurențiu Soneriu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Furdui in the 76th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Anton Arnăutu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrei Arbore. That made the score 1-5 in the 79 minute of play. A collision led to CSM Catunele getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Stelian Săvulescu hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, CSM Catunele's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Arnăutu came free, but Andrei Arbore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mădălin Apetroaiei kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Cheches's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
