Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucian Huțupan kicked off to start the match. Manuel Isopescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucrețiu Blejan went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th match minute, SK Marosvavsarhely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Petrulean to maneuver through the defense. Lucian Huțupan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Codrin Vrabie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudiu Paveliuc's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. When Dumitru Mutu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SK Marosvavsarhely fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Mutu couldn't finish the play. After 38 minutes, Nicolae Plopșor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cere and the SK Marosvavsarhely players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Cere got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Plopșor. Eusebiu Doman made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nicolae Plopșor immediately put the ball in play. In the 47th minute, Nechifor Bucuță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

57 minutes into the match, Cere's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Bosânceanu came free, but Codrin Vrabie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Toader Bacanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Marosvavsarhely's Emanuel Oravițan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cere. Liviu Bosânceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Vrabie having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, SK Marosvavsarhely's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Blejan came free, but Manuel Isopescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SK Marosvavsarhely's Claudiu Paveliuc got a free kick in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liviu Bosânceanu in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Codrin Vrabie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Huțupan in the 77th minute of play forced SK Marosvavsarhely's goalkeeper Manuel Isopescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SK Marosvavsarhely's Manuel Isopescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Blejan in the 84th minute of play. Liviu Bosânceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Isopescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Huțupan, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Liviu Bosânceanu's late challenge caught a Cere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Bosânceanu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SK Marosvavsarhely's Liviu Bosânceanu got a free kick in the 91st minute. Claudiu Paveliuc hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
