Tiberiu Seţeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiberiu Seţeanu during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Progresul Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Seţeanu. Horaţiu Calciu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horaţiu Calciu in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ion Dragnea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Progresul Bucuresti's Ion Dragnea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Baicea in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Progresul Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Furdui. When Tiberiu Seţeanu came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Progresul Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Seţeanu couldn't finish the play. Progresul Bucuresti's Emil Ţeica got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Calciu in the 31st minute of play forced Progresul Bucuresti's goalkeeper Ion Dragnea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Vasile Baicea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ion Dragnea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Dorin Neagu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Seţeanu in the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Progresul Bucuresti getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Iordache Vâtcu hit a great ball. The Pascal 11 fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Pascal 11's Ilie Ionașcu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 63 played minutes Emil Vlădoiu rounded Pascal 11's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. When Ivan Giosu came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Pascal 11 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Giosu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Progresul Bucuresti booed when Pascal 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Ionașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Tiberiu Seţeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Progresul Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Calciu came free, but Ion Dragnea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iordache Urdeş's late challenge caught a Progresul Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iordache Urdeş helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 minutes, Emil Ţeica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Progresul Bucuresti and the Pascal 11 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Progresul Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Ţeica to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes Progresul Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Marina. Liviu Bilașco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Horaţiu Calciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ion Dragnea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 minutes of play Progresul Bucuresti's Emil Ţeica was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 91st minute, Emil Ţeica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Seţeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dorin Neagu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascal 11 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Progresul Bucuresti for a fine match.
