Dafiru's Mihai Dobrica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Bosânceanu in the 4th minute of play. Manole Tinu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Dobrica having to interfere. The supporters of Dafiru booed when SK Marosvavsarhely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Mutu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Tinu got free with Mihai Dobrica in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Isopescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Gabrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Tinu in the 13th minute of play forced Dafiru's goalkeeper Mihai Dobrica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihai Dobrica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Tinu in the 14th minute of play. Liviu Bosânceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mihai Dobrica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22ndth minute of the game Niculae Ivasiuc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Marosvavsarhely's Manuel Isopescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SK Marosvavsarhely's Manuel Isopescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Ivasiuc in the 25th minute of play. Dafiru were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after SK Marosvavsarhely's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emanuel Șofran took the corner. Liviu Bosânceanu in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mihai Dobrica, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Manole Tinu managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Marosvavsarhely's supporters rose to their feet, but Manole Tinu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Dobrica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Manole Tinu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Manole Tinu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mihai Dobrica was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Liviu Bosânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Dobrica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Tinu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Dobrica having to interfere. Șerban Stoiciu charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Șerban Stoiciu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Dafiru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SK Marosvavsarhely:s goal. Emanuel Oravițan placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience was convinced that Liviu Bosânceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihai Dobrica was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Liviu Bosânceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihai Dobrica. Dafiru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liviu Bosânceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Liviu Bosânceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihai Dobrica. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Bosânceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Dafiru's Mihai Dobrica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Bosânceanu in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liviu Bosânceanu in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihai Dobrica saved Dafiru from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Mugur Gabrea made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Isopescu. SK Marosvavsarhely's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Mihai Dobrica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nichifor Petrulean went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. If Liviu Bosânceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Manole Tinu came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SK Marosvavsarhely fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manole Tinu couldn't finish the play. In the 98th match minute, Dafiru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Gabrea to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SK Marosvavsarhely had played much better football throughout.
