Horaţiu Calciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dorin Neagu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Rareș, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Dorin Neagu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionică Milcoveanu went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pascal 11's Dorin Neagu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Buzilă in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Pascal 11 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marin Cucu hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Marius Rareș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorin Neagu was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After 28 minutes of play, Cosa Nostra's Romeo Grindeanu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorin Neagu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th match minute, Pascal 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Moarcăș to maneuver through the defense. Horaţiu Calciu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Ionică Milcoveanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorin Neagu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Milcoveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorin Neagu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Milcoveanu in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute Tudor Buzilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorin Neagu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute Cosa Nostra were awarded a corner. Marius Rareș went to the cornerflag to take it. Marius Rareș made a great header on Cosa Nostra's corner, it was just that Pascal 11's Dorin Neagu managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half Cosa Nostra were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marius Rareș was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marius Rareș in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorin Neagu saved Pascal 11 from getting behind. Pascal 11's Dorin Neagu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Grindeanu in the 56th minute of play. Cosa Nostra were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Pascal 11's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marius Rareș took the corner. Cosa Nostra's Tudor Buzilă got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorin Neagu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Buzilă in the 63rd minute. 72 minutes into the match, Pascal 11's goalkeeper Dorin Neagu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionică Milcoveanu. Ionică Milcoveanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th match minute, Pascal 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Giosu to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Pascal 11's Horaţiu Calciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vali Petrin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Ionică Milcoveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicu Şchiopu charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Şchiopu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cosa Nostra booed when Pascal 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Şchiopu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorin Neagu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Marius Rareș sent off a good shot on target. After 90 played minutes Cosa Nostra got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Copil. In the 93rd match minute, Pascal 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Giosu to maneuver through the defense. Cosa Nostra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
