After 6 played minutes Avantul Sighiartau got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Dărmănescu. After 10 played minutes Avantul Sighiartau got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Ghionescu. Francisc Vrabie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cazimir Grecu went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Emil Pancu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Pancu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Avantul Sighiartau's Emil Pancu got a free kick in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mihăiţă Guriță kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Francisc Vrabie. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Galata FC's Francisc Vrabie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Galata FC from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Cazimir Grecu in the 26th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Niculae Mugur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Vrabie having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Avantul Sighiartau's Francisc Vrabie threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrei Ghionescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Galata FC's Francisc Vrabie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Guriță in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Avantul Sighiartau getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Manuel Zbora hit a great ball. Francisc Vrabie made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cazimir Grecu sent off a good shot on target. Emil Pancu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Vrabie having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Grecu in the 41st minute of play forced Galata FC's goalkeeper Francisc Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cazimir Grecu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Niculae Mugur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Vrabie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes of play, Avantul Sighiartau's Emil Pancu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisc Vrabie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francisc Vrabie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cazimir Grecu's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Marius Tutuianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Lupoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Avantul Sighiartau booed when Galata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Lupoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Dragoş Lupoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisc Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Grecu in the 68th minute of play. Francisc Vrabie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Ghionescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Eusebiu Neagu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marius Tutuianu, 3-1. Emil Pancu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Niculae Mugur took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisc Vrabie. Francisc Vrabie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Ghionescu in the 81st minute of play forced Galata FC's goalkeeper Francisc Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Emil Pancu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Francisc Vrabie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Pancu in the 90th minute of play forced Galata FC's goalkeeper Francisc Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Galata FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cristian Spineanu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Galata FC defense, Cazimir Grecu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisc Vrabie. The Galata FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisc Vrabie should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Avantul Sighiartau players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
