Deyanhur Timisoara's Marcel Vergulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Gliga in the 74th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Octav Popeneciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deyanhur Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carasova the free kick. When Moise Cutieru came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Deyanhur Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moise Cutieru couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Carasova's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Popeneciu came free, but Adrian Sima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
