Spectators: 7701 (Terracing: 5777, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Fc Buzau's Virgil Panciu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Cutieru in the 3rd minute of play forced Fc Buzau's goalkeeper Emil Enciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Vergulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Amărculesei in the 4th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Fc Buzau's goalkeeper Emil Enciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moise Cutieru. Cezar Amărculesei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcel Vergulescu having to make a save. Cezar Amărculesei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Enciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Popeneciu in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Cutieru in the 22nd minute of play forced Fc Buzau's goalkeeper Emil Enciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Deyanhur Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Panciu came free, but Marcel Vergulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Vergulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Amărculesei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Robert Rogozea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deyanhur Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Rogozea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Enciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octav Popeneciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Emil Enciu made a huge save. Emil Enciu came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Deyanhur Timisoara's Gelu Moga. But to his dismay, Gelu Moga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Emil Enciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moise Cutieru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fc Buzau's Virgil Panciu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Deyanhur Timisoara's Gelu Moga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emil Enciu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Octav Popeneciu hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octav Popeneciu made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moise Cutieru in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Enciu saved Fc Buzau from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezar Amărculesei got free with Marcel Vergulescu in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emil Enciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Moga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Enciu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Cutieru's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the game, Octav Popeneciu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Emil Enciu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 65 minutes, Moise Cutieru made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Fc Buzau's Emil Enciu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emil Enciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Popeneciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes Deyanhur Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Ion Șerbulescu. Virgil Panciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Marcel Vergulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Doru Druță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fc Buzau's Alexandru Cucu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gelu Moga, made in the 89th minute of the game. Deyanhur Timisoara were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fc Buzau for a fine match.
