Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Codruț Romanescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, FC Vacarii's Eric Agachi got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Ionel Urduban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdinand Costache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Vergulescu having to interfere. If Moise Cutieru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codruț Romanescu in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petrică Udup saved FC Vacarii from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Codruț Romanescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Petrică Udup was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Petrică Udup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Cutieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Deyanhur Timisoara's goalkeeper Marcel Vergulescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionel Urduban. After the first half Deyanhur Timisoara were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ştefan Zotincă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Vacarii's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Moise Cutieru scored to the left of an out of position Petrică Udup, making the score, 0-2. A collision led to Deyanhur Timisoara getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Narcis Balaci hit a great ball. Ştefan Zotincă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcel Vergulescu having to make a save. Codruț Romanescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moise Cutieru struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Petrică Udup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deyanhur Timisoara. 78 minutes into the game, Eric Agachi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Vacarii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deyanhur Timisoara the free kick. Eric Agachi hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Deyanhur Timisoara's Codruț Romanescu in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codruț Romanescu in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petrică Udup prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Vergulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Zotincă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Barbonța sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Deyanhur Timisoara's zone, Isac Barbonța stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Vergulescu came out of the goal and Isac Barbonța tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Vergulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Barbonța, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Deyanhur Timisoara were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Vacarii side.
