Codrin Lungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Barbă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gergelygeza booed when Furnicosi CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Axinte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Furnicosi CSM's Pavel Șerbulea got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute Adam Reznic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Lungu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Adam Reznic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Furnicosi CSM's Codrin Lungu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Reznic in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Matei Axinte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Furnicosi CSM getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Paul Şandru hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Emanuel Niculiță made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Gorcea. Gergelygeza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The Furnicosi CSM players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gergelygeza were winning 1-3.

When Matei Axinte fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Furnicosi CSM's protests and gave Matei Axinte a yellow card for diving instead. Matei Axinte kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 62 minutes, Paul Şandru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Furnicosi CSM and the Gergelygeza players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Furnicosi CSM getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Paul Şandru hit a great ball. Ionel Pantilimon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pavel Șerbulea kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Furnicosi CSM's Paul Şandru got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Paul Şandru off the ground. After recieving a nice pass, Gergelygeza's Adam Reznic tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Codrin Lungu made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Bogdan Barbă sent off a good shot on target. After 86 played minutes Gergelygeza got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Carp. After a defensive mix-up in Gergelygeza's zone, Esteve Nicholas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Gorcea came out of the goal and Esteve Nicholas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gergelygeza's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
