Stelian Buzoianu took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Gorcea. Valentin Gorcea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Buzoianu in the 21st minute of play forced Gergelygeza's goalkeeper Valentin Gorcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gergelygeza's Valentin Gorcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuel Obis in the 23rd minute of play. Valentin Gorcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Obis in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Gergelygeza getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adam Reznic hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Gergelygeza's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuel Obis came free, but Valentin Gorcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Gorcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Buzoianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Emmanuel Obis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Gorcea. Gergelygeza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emmanuel Obis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gergelygeza's Valentin Gorcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çağatay Tümel in the 37th minute of play. Valentin Gorcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Argider in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Olimpia FC's Stelian Buzoianu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Gorcea was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute Ionel Pantilimon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belaid Nabil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Olimpia FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Reznic was the one to do the kick off. When Olimpia FC's Emmanuel Obis in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gergelygeza's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Reznic in the 55th minute of play forced Olimpia FC's goalkeeper Belaid Nabil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Çağatay Tümel notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Gergelygeza's Valentin Gorcea. Valentin Gorcea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valentin Gorcea made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Çağatay Tümel sent off a good shot on target. Valentin Gorcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Buzoianu in the 62nd minute of the match. Stelian Buzoianu came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Valentin Gorcea could save by the left post. 67 minutes into the game, Emmanuel Obis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valentin Gorcea. Emmanuel Obis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. 70 minutes into the match, Gergelygeza's goalkeeper Valentin Gorcea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severo Obano. Valentin Gorcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Obis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Stelian Buzoianu scored 1-6 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Gorcea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Argider kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valentin Gorcea. That made the score 1-7 in the 77 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Olimpia FC's Valentin Gorcea threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gheorghe Iftodi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 87th minute Bogdan Barbă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belaid Nabil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Olimpia FC defense, Bogdan Barbă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Belaid Nabil. The Olimpia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Belaid Nabil should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Gergelygeza's Adam Reznic got a free kick in the 94th minute. Olimpia FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
