The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marin Cristache ran back to his position shaking his head. Marin Tărbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Laurențiu Olăroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Caranfil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Petru Măgură had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Marin Cristache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Felix Agachi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Petru Măgură's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Agachi was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Marin Tărbac's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Olăroiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Andrei Caranfil ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petru Măgură to make the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Marin Cristache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bikfalva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Cristache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petru Măgură scored 2-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Agachi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes in the game, Andrei Caranfil fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Laurențiu Olăroiu having to interfere. If Marin Tărbac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Andrei Caranfil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurențiu Olăroiu was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Marin Tărbac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Agachi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Cristache in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Bikfalva booed when FC Stiinta Corabia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Caranfil didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Stiinta Corabia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petru Măgură was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 98thth minute of the game Andrei Caranfil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bikfalva's Laurențiu Olăroiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Stiinta Corabia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
