Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vali Lucan got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karakoium's goalkeeper Dinu Buznea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pavel Goma hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Vali Lucan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcu Tofan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Sever Mihăileanu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dinu Buznea, 1-0. If Valeriu Dobrițoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Rachitis booed when Karakoium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Jder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vali Lucan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Eugen Vintilescu fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rachitis's protests and gave Eugen Vintilescu a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Filip Isopescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karakoium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Isopescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinu Buznea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Mitescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Valeriu Dobrițoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Dinu Buznea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karakoium's goalkeeper Dinu Buznea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Ernest Filipoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vali Lucan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcu Tofan having to make a save. Rachitis's Valeriu Dobrițoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Valeriu Dobrițoiu came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Rachitis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Dobrițoiu couldn't finish the play. Karakoium's Vali Lucan got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vali Lucan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valeriu Dobrițoiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinu Buznea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valeriu Dobrițoiu ran back to his position shaking his head. Sever Mihăileanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Buznea having to interfere. Dinu Buznea came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rachitis's Valeriu Dobrițoiu. But to his dismay, Valeriu Dobrițoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karakoium's goalkeeper Dinu Buznea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
