Spectators: 7869 (Terracing: 5903, Seating: 1810, VIP seats: 156) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorin Mălaimare started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Mădălin Măgureanu made a precise shot to the right of Rareș Mascovescu. Red Blue Lions-returns's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Qu Yan Nan came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Red Blue Lions-returns fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Qu Yan Nan couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Ungureni CF's Gigel Pârvan got control of the ball when Dorin Mălaimare tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Ungureni CF's Dinu Gherdan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rareș Mascovescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 17th minute, Gigel Bidulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mădălin Măgureanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ungureni CF's Edgar Banciu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Gigel Pârvan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Mălaimare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorin Mălaimare blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gigel Pârvan having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Red Blue Lions-returns's zone, Dinu Gherdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rareș Mascovescu came out of the goal and Dinu Gherdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorin Mălaimare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Pârvan having to interfere. If Dorin Mălaimare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Dorin Mălaimare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Pârvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Mădălin Măgureanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Mascovescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mădălin Măgureanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rareș Mascovescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Ungureni CF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mădălin Măgureanu to strike the kick off in the second half. David Encea hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Red Blue Lions-returns's Dorin Mălaimare got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ungureni CF booed when Red Blue Lions-returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Bidulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ungureni CF getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Edgar Banciu hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Dorin Mălaimare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Blue Lions-returns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Mălaimare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rareș Mascovescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Măgureanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Mădălin Măgureanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ungureni CF's Gigel Pârvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Mălaimare in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Dinu Gherdan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Mascovescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A collision led to Ungureni CF getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Vintilă Brad hit a great ball. When Red Blue Lions-returns's Dorin Mălaimare in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
