Sarafinesti's Andrei Bântu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Săvoiu in the 16th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Grigore Năsturel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrei Bântu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Sarafinesti booed when GSBC Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Săvoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Gigi Săvoiu suffered a sprained foot after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudiu Tiţe during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Calistrat Stănciulaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Grigore Năsturel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrei Bântu was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Grigore Năsturel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Grigore Năsturel sped through Sarafinesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrei Bântu. Grigore Năsturel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Bântu having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Nistor Cezar made a precise shot to the right of Andrei Bântu. Sarafinesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When the match was over GSBC Cluj-Napoca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sarafinesti throughout the match.
