After 8 played minutes Sarafinesti got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Păltineanu. -PSC- UFC Dridu's Victor Cosor couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sarafinesti. After some careless play in the Sarafinesti defense, Fabian Anastasiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrei Bântu. The Sarafinesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrei Bântu should have stopped the shot. Andrei Bântu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Iorda in the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Avram Iorda managed to get in a good position for a shot. -PSC- UFC Dridu's supporters rose to their feet, but Avram Iorda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrei Bântu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Costel Patriciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Avram Iorda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Bântu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Sarafinesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Alecu to maneuver through the defense. Codrin Iovan hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Avram Iorda in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Costel Patriciu got free with Aron Moșneanu in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristinel Buda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Aron Moșneanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Anastasiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Avram Iorda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Bântu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sarafinesti's Costel Patriciu got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, -PSC- UFC Dridu's Ionel Antim got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Dinu Păltineanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aron Moșneanu. -PSC- UFC Dridu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Cristinel Buda got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Costel Patriciu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sarafinesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costel Patriciu couldn't finish the play. Costel Patriciu might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aron Moșneanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costel Patriciu ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sarafinesti booed when -PSC- UFC Dridu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisc Chiriacescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Cristinel Buda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarafinesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristinel Buda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- UFC Dridu's zone, Cristinel Buda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Moșneanu came out of the goal and Cristinel Buda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
