Spectators: 7668 (Terracing: 5754, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 150) Cazimir Dimofte started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marcel Lupea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Dimofte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Hartau defense, Cazimir Dimofte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Lupea. The Hartau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Lupea should have stopped the shot. Marcel Lupea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Dimofte, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Dimofte in the 17th minute of play forced Hartau's goalkeeper Marcel Lupea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Codruț Ciociu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Hartau's zone, Remus Mândru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Lupea came out of the goal and Remus Mândru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silviu Mihuț scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Lupea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Hartau's zone, Cazimir Dimofte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Lupea came out of the goal and Cazimir Dimofte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Aristide Ilarie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hartau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UTA Arad the free kick. Marcel Lupea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Dimofte in the 41st minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iustin Ştefănuţ to strike the kick off in the second half. Matei Gârdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Ilarie, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Marcel Lupea was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Remus Mândru capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remus Mândru really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. If Silviu Mihuț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Dimofte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marcel Lupea made a huge save. After 69 minutes Hartau's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cazimir Dimofte who took care of the corner kick. In the 71st minute, Codruț Blăjan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Codruț Blăjan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcel Lupea, passed just outside the right post. Cristian Ispas hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. UTA Arad's Remus Mândru got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Remus Mândru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Lupea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Silviu Mihuț came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the UTA Arad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silviu Mihuț couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Codruț Blăjan managed to get in a good position for a shot. UTA Arad's supporters rose to their feet, but Codruț Blăjan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Lupea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cazimir Dimofte struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Marcel Lupea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UTA Arad. When the final whistle sounded UTA Arad left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hartau.
