Iustin Panaitoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Hartau's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Harnagea came free, but Marcel Lupea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CSM ALEXANDRIA's zone, Aristide Ilarie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Onete came out of the goal and Aristide Ilarie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Lupea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Panaitoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Martin Bulă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iustin Panaitoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Panaitoiu was the one to do the kick off.
