In the 8th minute, one of F.C.Progresul Timisoara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C.Progresul Timisoara. UFC RAVASH's Ilie Oblemenco got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remus Trăistaru made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Victor Uncescu sent off a good shot on target. When Ernest Cudalb fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C.Progresul Timisoara's protests and gave Ernest Cudalb a yellow card for diving instead. Ernest Cudalb hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A hard shot 22 in the game by Victor Uncescu from a close distance when the talented Remus Trăistaru managed to make a qualified save. F.C.Progresul Timisoara's players were relieved. After having played for 25 minutes, Victor Uncescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC RAVASH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Uncescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Petrică Ţugui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes F.C.Progresul Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Râznicu. Victor Uncescu had several of the F.C.Progresul Timisoara's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Remus Trăistaru as he didn't even see the shot coming. F.C.Progresul Timisoara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Victor Uncescu scored to the left of an out of position Remus Trăistaru, making the score, 3-0. Ilie Oblemenco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Remus Trăistaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Leonard Mateianu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UFC RAVASH and the F.C.Progresul Timisoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to UFC RAVASH getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Leonard Mateianu hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Uncescu made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Progresul Timisoara's zone, Petrică Ţugui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Trăistaru came out of the goal and Petrică Ţugui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ilie Oblemenco managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC RAVASH's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilie Oblemenco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remus Trăistaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Remus Trăistaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Ţugui in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the F.C.Progresul Timisoara defense, Ilie Oblemenco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remus Trăistaru. The F.C.Progresul Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remus Trăistaru should have stopped the shot. Petrică Ţugui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Remus Trăistaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Uncescu struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Remus Trăistaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC RAVASH. In the 75thth minute of the game Victor Uncescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Remus Trăistaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 76 minutes of play F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Paul Zburliş was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of F.C.Progresul Timisoara:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UFC RAVASH:s goal. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for UFC RAVASH. Pavel Asachi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Remus Trăistaru. 6-0. A collision led to F.C.Progresul Timisoara getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Tiberiu Râznicu hit a great ball. Ilie Oblemenco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Remus Trăistaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Iulian Aristide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC RAVASH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Aristide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remus Trăistaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Uncescu in the 97th minute of play. Valentin Amânaloae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Vâlcu in the 98th minute of the match. UFC RAVASH walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
