When Martin Banica fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balacia's protests and gave Martin Banica a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Balacia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Banica to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Avram Tilincă made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Francisc Joja who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ferrari's Alin Mărăscu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Sandu Sitaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Martin Banica reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alin Mărăscu. The goal made the score 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ionică Şoimu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balacia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionică Şoimu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alin Mărăscu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Ion Crivoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Damian Mitrofan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balacia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ferrari the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Damian Mitrofan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Avram Tilincă came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the FC Ferrari fans jumped to their feet. FC Ferrari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 94 minutes into the game, Gigel Itu threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Ferrari's Constantin Manta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Balacia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
