F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Remus Trăistaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucero Yeste in the 13th minute of play. F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Remus Trăistaru tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, FC Brasov's Petru Budianu got control of the ball when Tiberiu Râznicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Brasov's goalkeeper Petru Budianu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dumitru Stana kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Tiberiu Râznicu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Emil Zaharia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.Progresul Timisoara and the FC Brasov players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes F.C.Progresul Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Emil Zaharia. A collision led to F.C.Progresul Timisoara getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Paul Zburliş hit a great ball. Aron Miheș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Lucero Yeste who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Remus Trăistaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Florin Ecobescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Petru Budianu. That made the score 1-1 after 47 minutes of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucero Yeste to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Vâlcu in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Brasov's goalkeeper Petru Budianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lucero Yeste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Florin Ecobescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C.Progresul Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Remus Trăistaru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Malcolm Johnston showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 67 minute of play. Remus Trăistaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucero Yeste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aron Miheș in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remus Trăistaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the game, Lucero Yeste recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remus Trăistaru. Lucero Yeste showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Malcolm Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Remus Trăistaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Johnston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Trăistaru having to interfere. When Tiberiu Râznicu fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C.Progresul Timisoara's protests and gave Tiberiu Râznicu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to F.C.Progresul Timisoara getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tiberiu Râznicu hit a great ball. F.C.Progresul Timisoara's Remus Trăistaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save F.C.Progresul Timisoara from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucero Yeste in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remus Trăistaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucero Yeste might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remus Trăistaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucero Yeste ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Lucero Yeste left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Brasov fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 98 minutes into the game, Florin Ecobescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Petru Budianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Brasov's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
