In the 3rd minute Aron Voineag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Malcocea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes F.C. Viitorul Șieu got a freekick which was hit by Dan Macaneață. FC Bujoreni's Ilie Brad got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornel Georgescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Doru Dumitrachescu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Viitorul Șieu's protests and gave Doru Dumitrachescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes F.C. Viitorul Șieu got a freekick which was hit by Doru Dumitrachescu. After 20 played minutes FC Bujoreni got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Pârlog. Nicodim Malcocea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Barbăsură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Malcocea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Voineag in the 23rd minute of play. Ilie Fecioru scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicodim Malcocea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Emilian Barbăsură had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicodim Malcocea. FC Bujoreni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilian Barbăsură was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, Emilian Barbăsură notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea. Nicodim Malcocea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Bujoreni's Paul Târban slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gelu Iordache. That made the score 1-3 after 35 minutes of play. Paul Târban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, F.C. Viitorul Șieu's Gelu Iordache got control of the ball when Paul Târban tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandru Prisecaru came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gelu Iordache could save by the left post. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul Târban to strike the kick off in the second half. Ilie Brad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gelu Iordache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, F.C. Viitorul Șieu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Dumitrachescu to maneuver through the defense. When Paul Târban came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the FC Bujoreni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Târban couldn't finish the play. Cornel Georgescu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Luca Vişan's shot from long distance in the 59th minute was not bad at all, but FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Barbăsură in the 61st minute of play. Nicodim Malcocea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilie Fecioru in the 63rd minute. Ilie Fecioru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Nicodim Malcocea made a huge save. Paul Târban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gelu Iordache didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Târban went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 76 minutes into the game, Emilian Barbăsură recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicodim Malcocea. Emilian Barbăsură showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. If Alexandru Prisecaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Ferdinand Comșa from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Nicodim Malcocea's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cornel Georgescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes F.C. Viitorul Șieu got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Busuioc. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cornel Georgescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bujoreni's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornel Georgescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gelu Iordache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of F.C. Viitorul Șieu echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FC Bujoreni had held the ball for most of the match.
