Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marian Mustăcilă took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes of play, Dunărea Călăraşi's Aristide Vuia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mugur Zărnescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 6th minute, Marian Mustăcilă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dunărea Călăraşi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Mugur Zărnescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Mustăcilă in the 10th minute of play. Mugur Zărnescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Mustăcilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Marian Mustăcilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, one of ASU Poli Timisoara:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mugur Zărnescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Cismaș in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Maxim Cismaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zărnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Gușatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mugur Zărnescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Mustăcilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Marian Mustăcilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mugur Zărnescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Codrin Magherescu made the kick off in the second half. ASU Poli Timisoara's Mugur Zărnescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Vuia in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Mușat during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maxim Cismaș charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxim Cismaș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maxim Cismaș hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Cismaș in the 74th minute of play forced ASU Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Mugur Zărnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Zărnescu had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Aristide Vuia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dunărea Călăraşi's Ştefan Petru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mugur Zărnescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 91 minutes of play, Dunărea Călăraşi's Maxim Cismaș made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mugur Zărnescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Dunărea Călăraşi defense, Nistor Brătescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marius Radovan. The Dunărea Călăraşi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Radovan should have stopped the shot. The ASU Poli Timisoara fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dunărea Călăraşi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
