In the 46th match minute, Tatarus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Obregia to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tatarus's goalkeeper Francisc Chirilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Tatarus's zone, Vintilă Bidulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Chirilă came out of the goal and Vintilă Bidulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Campina getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Narcis Tonegaru hit a great ball. Evaristo Argina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Ghițulescu in the 54th minute of play. Francisc Chirilă made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Ionuț Cândroveanu sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Campina could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tatarus throughout the match.
