After a defensive mix-up in Uptown Otters's zone, Filip Leucuța stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aimilios Manolas came out of the goal and Filip Leucuța tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Costel Mateescu made a precise shot to the right of Aimilios Manolas. Uptown Otters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Oskar Jonsson during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Zubaşcu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Dragnea in the 56th minute of play forced Uptown Otters's goalkeeper Aimilios Manolas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
