The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remus Brânza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Corbea in the 12th minute of play. Eliodor Bobariu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Panțâru having to interfere. If Dragoş Corbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Vernescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Brânza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Fabian Caba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Vlad Nișu struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gigi Panțâru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uileac. In the 54th minute Eliodor Bobariu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Panțâru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Uileac booed when Gantaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Vulpăşin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragoş Corbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dragoş Corbea struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Doru Vernescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Vlad Nișu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uileac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlad Nișu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st play minute Doru Vernescu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Remus Brânza. 0-2. Gantaga's Remus Hulubei was substituted for Dragoş Corbea. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliodor Bobariu in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Panțâru saved Gantaga from getting behind. When Eliodor Bobariu came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Uileac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliodor Bobariu couldn't finish the play. The Gantaga players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
