Spectators: 7691 (Terracing: 5769, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Augustin Cosoroabă took the kick off in the first half of the match. Narcis Sasu might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisc Ţeica. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narcis Sasu ran back to his position shaking his head. Olimpiu Ţăranu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Cosoroabă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, -Bucovina Siret-'s Dragoş Rânceanu got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind -Bucovina Siret-'s goalkeeper Olimpiu Ţăranu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Narcis Sasu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisc Ţeica was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Mircea Alamaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rapid FC booed when -Bucovina Siret- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cătălin Cristocea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Cornel Brânzeu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Sasu in the 27th minute of play forced Rapid FC's goalkeeper Francisc Ţeica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Fabian Hrib with Mircea Alamaru as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Narcis Sasu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Francisc Ţeica made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liviu Urdea in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olimpiu Ţăranu saved -Bucovina Siret- from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Rapid FC's Maxim Pop got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Narcis Sasu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narcis Sasu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vintilă Baldovin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Ţăranu having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Rapid FC's Maxim Pop slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olimpiu Ţăranu. That made the score 0-1 after 56 minutes of play. Liviu Urdea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Ţăranu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Manole during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Rapid FC got a freekick which was hit by Robert Manole. 72 minutes in the game Valeriu Boboc did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Liviu Urdea. When Maxim Pop, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Olimpiu Ţăranu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Dan Aplugăriței put in a rough tackle. After 78 played minutes Rapid FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Aplugăriței. -Bucovina Siret-'s Narcis Sasu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narcis Sasu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxim Pop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Olimpiu Ţăranu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Liviu Urdea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, -Bucovina Siret-'s Olimpiu Ţăranu got control of the ball when Mircea Alamaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maxim Pop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Olimpiu Ţăranu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Sasu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisc Ţeica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the game, Mircea Alamaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapid FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -Bucovina Siret- the free kick. Mircea Alamaru hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
