After a defensive mix-up in Gantaga's zone, Costel Mateescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Panțâru came out of the goal and Costel Mateescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gantaga booed when YR☆ FCSB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Cernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Sámuel Szűrös got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gigi Panțâru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Mateescu's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Toader Teodoreanu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gantaga's protests and gave Toader Teodoreanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Gantaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toader Teodoreanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Stelian Costin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigi Panțâru showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Costel Mateescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gantaga's Gigi Panțâru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costel Mateescu in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Panțâru saved Gantaga from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stelian Costin during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, one of YR☆ FCSB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for YR☆ FCSB. YR☆ FCSB's Stelian Costin got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Stelian Costin off the ground. Ionel Hurezeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dragoş Corbea's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Gigi Panțâru came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by YR☆ FCSB's Ivan Dragnea. But to his dismay, Ivan Dragnea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 45 minutes into the game, Costel Mateescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gigi Panțâru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Costel Mateescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, YR☆ FCSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Leucuța to maneuver through the defense. Costel Mateescu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 54th playminute. Costel Mateescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gigi Panțâru having to make a save. When Ivan Dragnea came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the YR☆ FCSB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Dragnea couldn't finish the play. Costel Mateescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Gigi Panțâru made a huge save. Ovidiu Cernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gigi Panțâru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costel Mateescu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Gigi Panțâru 64 minutes into the match. A hard shot 71 in the game by Costel Mateescu from a close distance when the talented Gigi Panțâru managed to make a qualified save. Gantaga's players were relieved. Gantaga's Remus Hulubei was substituted for Dragoş Corbea. Sámuel Szűrös made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ivan Dragnea. In the 87th minute, Ovidiu Cernat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigi Panțâru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costel Mateescu in the 92nd minute. A collision led to YR☆ FCSB getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Emanuel Maghiran hit a great ball.
