Gantaga's Gigi Panțâru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Cosoroabă in the 7th minute of play. Gigi Panțâru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maxim Pop in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Gantaga's goalkeeper Gigi Panțâru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxim Pop. Francisc Ţeica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Corbea in the 27th minute of play. Francisc Vlăsiu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Ignat in the 31st minute of play forced Rapid FC's goalkeeper Francisc Ţeica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doru Vernescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisc Ţeica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragoş Corbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Ignat was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augustin Cosoroabă to strike the kick off in the second half. Dragoş Corbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Ţeica having to interfere. Augustin Cosoroabă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gigi Panțâru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Cosoroabă in the 61st minute of play forced Gantaga's goalkeeper Gigi Panțâru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doru Vernescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Francisc Ţeica could save by the left post. Augustin Cosoroabă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Maxim Pop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Maxim Pop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gigi Panțâru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim Pop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Aplugăriței kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Doru Vernescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigi Panțâru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Pop in the 94th minute of play. Doru Vernescu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 97th playminute.
