The referee showed Liviu Urdea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Moise Zbârnea put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Francisc Ţeica. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisc Ţeica prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moise Zbârnea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Mircea Alamaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mircea Alamaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigi Cerchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
