Basil:s Narcis Murgescu showed great skill when he stopped Nicodim Marchiș:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Tăcutu in the 43rd minute of play forced Basil's goalkeeper Narcis Murgescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Basil getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Cazimir Grozuță hit a great ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicodim Marchiș's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Narcis Murgescu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Narcis Murgescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Tăcutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vlad Tăcutu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basil's Ionel Brădea got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Nicodim Marchiș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narcis Murgescu.
