Rareș Ştercă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Dabija in the 4th minute of the match. Barnaba Bartochowski took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rareș Ştercă. Rareș Ştercă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rareș Ştercă came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Sepsi OSK's Remus Balțoi. But to his dismay, Remus Balțoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Remus Balțoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rareș Ştercă. Benfica FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remus Balțoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 18th minute, Iacob Dabija made a precise shot to the right of Rareș Ştercă. Benfica FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 22nd minute Barnaba Bartochowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Ştercă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rareș Ştercă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Kasprzak in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Iacob Dabija ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Ştercă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 35 minutes into the match, Barnaba Bartochowski notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Benfica FC's Rareș Ştercă. Rareș Ştercă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute, Barnaba Bartochowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sepsi OSK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Tănăsie made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sepsi OSK's Remus Balțoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rareș Ştercă. Rareș Ştercă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Kasprzak in the 56th minute of play forced Benfica FC's goalkeeper Rareș Ştercă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Haidău's late challenge caught a Sepsi OSK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Haidău helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Benfica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Haidău to maneuver through the defense. Sepsi OSK's Marcel Obregia got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benfica FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Barnaba Bartochowski scored to the left of an out of position Rareș Ştercă, making the score, 0-12. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Kasprzak got free with Rareș Ştercă in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rareș Ştercă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iacob Dabija showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 69 minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Sepsi OSK's Iacob Dabija dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-14. When Ivan Prelipceanu fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sepsi OSK's protests and gave Ivan Prelipceanu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sepsi OSK's Ivan Prelipceanu got a free kick in the 77th minute. Augustin Tănăsie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Cosmin Brăiloiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Barnaba Bartochowski came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sepsi OSK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barnaba Bartochowski couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnaba Bartochowski in the 96th minute of play forced Benfica FC's goalkeeper Rareș Ştercă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Benfica FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sepsi OSK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
