After a defensive mix-up in RealMadrid's zone, Iacob Zgabei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornel Gherasim came out of the goal and Iacob Zgabei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Grigoriu's late challenge caught a Dezesti CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Grigoriu helped the player get up and apologised. Cornel Gherasim made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Iacob Zgabei sent off a good shot on target. Cornel Gherasim was a little too slow when Gigel Dordea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 18 played minutes RealMadrid got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Grigoriu. 20 minutes into the match, Gigel Dordea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cornel Gherasim, 3-0. In the 23rd minute, Edgar Voicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, RealMadrid's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Dordea came free, but Cornel Gherasim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RealMadrid booed when Dezesti CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Vintilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Răzvan Bulgar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Doru Mercea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Gherasim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Dridu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Bulgar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Răzvan Bulgar to strike the kick off in the second half. When Doru Mercea came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Dezesti CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Mercea couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Iacob Zgabei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornel Gherasim. RealMadrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iacob Zgabei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Cornel Gherasim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Dordea in the 63rd minute of play. Cornel Gherasim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Dordea, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Doru Mercea notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of RealMadrid's Cornel Gherasim. Cornel Gherasim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cornel Gherasim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigel Dordea went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. In the 91st match minute, RealMadrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Grigoriu to maneuver through the defense.
