Rareș Ştercă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Benfica FC's Panait Uncheşu got a free kick in the 7th minute. Rareș Ştercă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Cristache in the 10th minute of the match. Maksymilian Banaszak made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Augustin Tănăsie sent off a good shot on target. Rareș Ştercă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horia Caranică went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Irinel Cristache scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rareș Ştercă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rareș Ştercă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Emrah Oktan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aron Haidău was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. The referee gave Dinamo Brasov a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vlad Fulga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Benfica FC's Rareș Ştercă. 0-4. Mehmet Emrah Oktan hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Dinamo Brasov booed when Benfica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Tănăsie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Mehmet Emrah Oktan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Ştercă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Augustin Tănăsie kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Horia Caranică took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rareș Ştercă. Rareș Ştercă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Rareș Ştercă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Emrah Oktan, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Mehmet Emrah Oktan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Ştercă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Augustin Tănăsie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Tănăsie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksymilian Banaszak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Horia Caranică ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Ştercă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Valeriu Ene received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rareș Ştercă came out and tried to block the shot, but Valeriu Ene slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Horia Caranică got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rareș Ştercă was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Augustin Tănăsie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinamo Brasov played a much better game than Benfica FC and deserved their victory. The Benfica FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
