Eliodor Cămătaru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eliodor Cămătaru was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some careless play in the UPB FC defense, Dragoş Elenescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vintilă Minda. The UPB FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vintilă Minda should have stopped the shot. Basil's Narcis Murgescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliodor Cămătaru in the 13th minute of play. Ulpiano Herbruger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Minda came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Basil's Dragoş Elenescu. But to his dismay, Dragoş Elenescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Vintilă Minda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Isărescu in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Virgil Pășcuțoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Murgescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes, Dragoş Elenescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basil and the UPB FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of UPB FC booed when Basil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Elenescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ulpiano Herbruger put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Narcis Murgescu. The crowd rose to their feet as Vali Coraș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Narcis Murgescu. That made the score 3-2 in the 31 minute of play. Bengt-Rune Linquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Murgescu having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Basil's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Cămătaru came free, but Narcis Murgescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of UPB FC booed when Basil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Isărescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Encea got free with Narcis Murgescu in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

In the 65th minute, Ulpiano Herbruger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narcis Murgescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Eliodor Cămătaru struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Narcis Murgescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UPB FC. Virgil Pășcuțoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Minda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Basil's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Coraș came free, but Narcis Murgescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the UPB FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
