Ernest Budianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Dugulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Hermengildo Idacio put in a rough tackle. After 33 minutes, Petruț Liviu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berbesul and the Fc Braila players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ernest Budianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Lăceanu in the 38th minute of play.

Berbesul's Ernest Budianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Dugulescu in the 52nd minute of play. Eliodor Lăceanu scored 5-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernest Budianu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ernest Budianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Logofătu in the 70th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Lucian Logofătu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernest Budianu. Berbesul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucian Logofătu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Lucian Logofătu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Budianu having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Janusz Ikalewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucian Logofătu in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Budianu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Berbesul players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fc Braila.
