When Basarab Odobescu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the FC Xander fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Odobescu couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Carloman's Tiberiu Zamfirescu got control of the ball when Vasile Dascălu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 29 minutes, Panait Cojocaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carloman and the FC Xander players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carloman getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Panait Cojocaru hit a great ball. FC Xander's supporters rose to their feet, but Basarab Odobescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiberiu Zamfirescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasile Dascălu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Xander booed when Carloman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Panduru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Dascălu. In the 41st match minute, Carloman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Craia to maneuver through the defense. Basarab Odobescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. Vasile Dascălu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Xander booed when Carloman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Mitrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basarab Odobescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiberiu Zamfirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Dascălu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Carloman's zone, Basarab Odobescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Zamfirescu came out of the goal and Basarab Odobescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vasile Dascălu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. When FC Xander's Basarab Odobescu in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carloman's goalie prevented a goal. Panait Cojocaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panait Cojocaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horaţiu Gherdan having to make a save. Pompiliu Ursulescu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Carloman's zone, Vasile Dascălu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Zamfirescu came out of the goal and Vasile Dascălu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Odobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basarab Odobescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasile Dascălu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Tiberiu Zamfirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 99 minutes into the match, Vasile Dascălu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Carloman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasile Dascălu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
