Tiberiu Zamfirescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliodor Lăceanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Eliodor Lăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Braila's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliodor Lăceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiberiu Zamfirescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurențiu Nițu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Astafiei in the 11th minute of play. Lucian Logofătu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Carloman booed when Fc Braila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Militaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fc Braila's Eliodor Lăceanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiberiu Zamfirescu. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. Eliodor Lăceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliodor Lăceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Lucian Logofătu could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Tiberiu Zamfirescu however easily saved by the left post. Eliodor Lăceanu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Eliodor Lăceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Panait Cojocaru to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Fc Braila booed when Carloman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Macrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes Carloman got a freekick which was hit by Paul Craia. In the 59th minute, Eliodor Lăceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Paul Craia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62ndth minute of the game Eliodor Lăceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carloman's Tiberiu Zamfirescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 played minutes Fc Braila got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Lăceanu. Tiberiu Zamfirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Logofătu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Carloman getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Pompiliu Ursulescu hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Carloman's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Logofătu came free, but Tiberiu Zamfirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiberiu Zamfirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliodor Lăceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Lăceanu in the 77th minute of play forced Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Braila's Eliodor Lăceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5-0 became the score in the 85th minute when Lucian Logofătu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Eliodor Lăceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Carloman got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Ursulescu. The audience was convinced that Lucian Logofătu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiberiu Zamfirescu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Lucian Logofătu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Fc Braila players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
