Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lucian Logofătu got the match started through his kick off. Liviu Lucaci kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Fc Braila's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Lucaci came free, but Laurențiu Nițu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurențiu Nițu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Lucaci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Liviu Lucaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Nițu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc Braila's Laurențiu Nițu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Lucaci in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Fc Braila's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Lucaci came free, but Laurențiu Nițu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Herla defense, Lucian Logofătu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gică Cârnațiu. The Herla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gică Cârnațiu should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Fc Braila's Gigi Tomescu got a free kick in the 25th minute. Laurențiu Nițu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Lucaci in the 30th minute of play. Gică Cârnațiu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Braila's Eliodor Lăceanu. But to his dismay, Eliodor Lăceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 36th minute of the match, Mihăiţă Brezeanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Laurențiu Nițu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Lucian Logofătu put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gică Cârnațiu. Fc Braila's Laurențiu Nițu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Braila from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liviu Lucaci was the one to do the kick off. Laurențiu Nițu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Irinel Cârnu went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 55th minute Eliodor Lăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gică Cârnațiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Eliodor Lăceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herla's Gică Cârnațiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 62 minutes of play Fc Braila's Corneliu Militaru was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Laurențiu Nițu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Lucaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gică Cârnațiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Logofătu in the 67th minute. Laurențiu Nițu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Cârnu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irinel Cârnu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Laurențiu Nițu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurențiu Nițu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Lucaci in the 72nd minute of the match. Eliodor Lăceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gică Cârnațiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Herla's zone, Lucian Logofătu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gică Cârnațiu came out of the goal and Lucian Logofătu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lucian Logofătu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Braila's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucian Logofătu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Cârnațiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucian Logofătu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Cârnațiu having to interfere. If Lucian Logofătu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Răzvan Cordescu took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Gică Cârnațiu to make any attempt to save it. Herla's Gică Cârnațiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Herla from getting a goal against them. Fc Braila's Laurențiu Nițu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Cârnu in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Lucian Logofătu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Herla supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fc Braila's performance. The match ended with a win for Fc Braila.
