Fc Braila's Eliodor Lăceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lucian Logofătu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Laurențiu Nițu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Lera in the 19th minute of play. If Eliodor Lăceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Eliodor Lăceanu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Fc Braila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliodor Lăceanu couldn't finish the play. After 34th play minutes Lucian Logofătu shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Toader Hojbota and just under the crossbar into goal. Eliodor Lăceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Hojbota having to interfere. Lucian Logofătu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Toader Hojbota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliodor Lăceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 3-0 became the score in the 45th minute when Eliodor Lăceanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

In the 52nd minute, Eliodor Lăceanu made a precise shot to the right of Toader Hojbota. Varbilau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Dacian Donose's late challenge caught a Fc Braila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dacian Donose helped the player get up and apologised. If Eliodor Lăceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Hojbota came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Braila's Lucian Logofătu. But to his dismay, Lucian Logofătu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Lucian Logofătu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Toader Hojbota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varbilau's Toader Hojbota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Logofătu in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Eliodor Lăceanu made a precise shot to the right of Toader Hojbota. Varbilau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After having played for 84 minutes, Eliodor Lăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Braila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliodor Lăceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Varbilau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Boeru to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Varbilau got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Donose. Toader Hojbota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Logofătu in the 93rd minute of the match. Toader Hojbota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliodor Lăceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fc Braila had played much better football throughout.
