That was the end of his participation in the match. Nicolae Oroian hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Zabrautii SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Zmeu came free, but Vlad Ghimpu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ştefan Zmeu couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Sever Balint in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Zabrautii SC's Sever Turdeanu. Grigore Burdujan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Vointa Sibiu's Ştefan Zmeu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mihail Daraban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Manu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Vintilă Goicea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Ghimpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee gave FC Vointa Sibiu a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vali Şimandan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zabrautii SC's Vlad Ghimpu. 0-3. Grigore Burdujan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihail Daraban having to make a save. Ştefan Zmeu in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Zabrautii SC's Dacian Manu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Dacian Manu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zabrautii SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dacian Manu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Daraban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Vointa Sibiu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
