Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 19 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA's Nicu Hălmăgeanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduard Chimeț narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eduard Chimeț didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Moisil went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fulvio Palmisano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Șerbulescu having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA's Nicu Hălmăgeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicu Hălmăgeanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eduard Chimeț could save by the left post. Cătălin Iriza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Eduard Chimeț skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
