The crowd rose to their feet as Greoni's Damian Sfetcu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosmin Ilarie. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. After 17 minutes, Panait Văcărescu made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Greoni's Iordache Josan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 minutes, Vali Tadici mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vermis and the Greoni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 65 minutes, Emanuel Prezan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greoni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Prezan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Greoni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Sfetcu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Greoni got a freekick which was hit by Damian Sfetcu. 73 minutes into the game, Fabian Macarie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. In the 95th minute Fabian Macarie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Ilarie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ion Aldulea fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vermis's protests and gave Ion Aldulea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Greoni booed when Vermis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Aldulea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Greoni's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
