Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basarab Grama took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 8 played minutes POMPIERII Bv. got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Culcer. When Basarab Grama came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the FC Vointa Sibiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Grama couldn't finish the play. When Nistor Neața fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vointa Sibiu's protests and gave Nistor Neața a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in POMPIERII Bv.'s zone, Basarab Grama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxim Zâncă came out of the goal and Basarab Grama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Basarab Grama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Zâncă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Vointa Sibiu's Ştefan Zmeu got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maxim Zâncă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basarab Grama went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Basarab Grama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Maxim Zâncă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Basarab Grama made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. POMPIERII Bv.'s Maxim Zâncă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ştefan Zmeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Zâncă having to interfere. Maxim Zâncă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Grama in the 37th minute of play. Basarab Grama's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxim Zâncă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Ştefan Zmeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Maxim Zâncă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Basarab Grama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Zâncă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Grama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half FC Vointa Sibiu were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, POMPIERII Bv.'s Maxim Zâncă got control of the ball when Ştefan Zmeu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ştefan Zmeu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vointa Sibiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Ştefan Zmeu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim Zâncă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maxim Zâncă was a little too slow when Ştefan Zmeu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 67th minute, Virgil Tărâţă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihail Daraban was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 69th minute Iulian Buhuș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Daraban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Grama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Maxim Zâncă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Vointa Sibiu booed when POMPIERII Bv. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Baldovinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxim Zâncă made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ştefan Zmeu sent off a good shot on target.
