Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Constantin Stroie got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Alex Tarcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Pipirig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Stroie hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Avintu AC's Petruț Pipirig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Avintu AC from getting a goal against them. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Beca in the 16th minute of play. Mihai Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Beca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avintu AC's Constantin Stroie managed to work through CS Botosani BTF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Constantin Stroie dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Beca in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Tarcu in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petruț Pipirig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, CS Botosani BTF's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Stroie came free, but Mihai Zegreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Stroie, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Beca in the 30th minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihai Zegreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Tarcu to make the kick off. When Alex Tarcu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the CS Botosani BTF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Tarcu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in CS Botosani BTF's zone, Constantin Stroie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihai Zegreanu came out of the goal and Constantin Stroie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petruț Pipirig didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Tarcu went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Constantin Stroie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avintu AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantin Stroie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Zegreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantin Stroie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mihai Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantin Stroie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Constantin Stroie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the game, Dragoş Vochin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CS Botosani BTF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avintu AC the free kick. After 83 played minutes CS Botosani BTF got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Vochin. Avintu AC's Gavril Beca got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantin Stroie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Zegreanu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Avramescu in the 97th minute of play forced Avintu AC's goalkeeper Petruț Pipirig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
