Spectators: 7652 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alex Tarcu started the match with the kick off. Laurențiu Crăiță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihai Zegreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After 14 minutes CS Botosani BTF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emilian Traian who took care of the corner kick. In the 16th minute of the match, Octav Cănănău got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mihai Zegreanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Avramescu in the 23rd minute of play forced Overdrive FC's goalkeeper Valeriu Şunda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilian Traian was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Horia Bogrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eric Avramescu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the CS Botosani BTF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Avramescu couldn't finish the play. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save CS Botosani BTF from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the game, Horia Bogrea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CS Botosani BTF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Overdrive FC the free kick. In the 39th match minute, CS Botosani BTF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Avramescu to maneuver through the defense. Robert Udrişte charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Udrişte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurențiu Crăiță to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, CS Botosani BTF's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Crăiță came free, but Mihai Zegreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horia Bogrea hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Lucian Onaca kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mihai Zegreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurențiu Crăiță's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Crăiță, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Octav Cănănău managed to get in a good position for a shot. Overdrive FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Octav Cănănău was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihai Zegreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Alex Tarcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Traian in the 73rd minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, Overdrive FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Cănănău to maneuver through the defense. Valeriu Şunda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Bogrea in the 78th minute of the match. Valeriu Şunda was a little too slow when Horia Bogrea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-2. With a little luck, Overdrive FC's Valeriu Şunda got control of the ball when Eric Avramescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Laurențiu Crăiță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihai Zegreanu was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. If Augustin Iftimescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihai Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Crăiță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, CS Botosani BTF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Udrişte to maneuver through the defense. Emilian Traian struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Mihai Zegreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Overdrive FC.
