A sloppy throw-in by Iordache Pârvuță in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Rapid Micesti's Manole Udroiu. A collision led to Steaua Somcuta MM getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Leontin Zdrehuş hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Manole Ţăranu sped through Steaua Somcuta MM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matei Rotariu. Matei Rotariu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vlad Caraiman went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. FC Rapid Micesti's Olimpiu Buteanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Rapid Micesti from getting a goal against them. Iordache Pârvuță made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Rapid Micesti's Manole Udroiu. Matei Rotariu came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Rapid Micesti's Manole Ţăranu. But to his dismay, Manole Ţăranu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The nice shot from Panait Unciuleanu in the 36thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Olimpiu Buteanu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Matei Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlad Caraiman in the 39th minute of the match. Matei Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vlad Caraiman, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A collision led to FC Rapid Micesti getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Manole Udroiu hit a great ball. Olimpiu Buteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pitiș in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Pitiș in the 46th minute of play forced FC Rapid Micesti's goalkeeper Olimpiu Buteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, FC Rapid Micesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Udroiu to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

After 54 played minutes Steaua Somcuta MM got a freekick which was hit by Petru Tomulescu. After 55 minutes, Panait Unciuleanu made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. FC Rapid Micesti's Olimpiu Buteanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vlad Caraiman's late challenge caught a Steaua Somcuta MM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vlad Caraiman helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes FC Rapid Micesti got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Caraiman. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Pitiș in the 64th minute of play forced FC Rapid Micesti's goalkeeper Olimpiu Buteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Buteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Pitiș in the 73rd minute of the match. Olimpiu Buteanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panait Unciuleanu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Manole Ţăranu took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matei Rotariu. Matei Rotariu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. After 81 minutes of play, Steaua Somcuta MM's Panait Unciuleanu made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olimpiu Buteanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Steaua Somcuta MM's Dacian Săvulescu in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Rapid Micesti's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panait Unciuleanu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olimpiu Buteanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olimpiu Buteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Unciuleanu in the 98th minute of the match. The FC Rapid Micesti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Rapid Micesti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
